QuickBooks Migration

Migrate QuickBooks Online to Zoho Books UK

Move beyond a raw QBO export with a target structure built for reliable UK bookkeeping.

What transfers

Customers, suppliers, chart of accounts, products and services, open invoices and bills, credit notes, opening balances and agreed history can be migrated. Payroll and third-party app records are assessed separately.

Classes, locations & reporting

QBO classes and locations may map to Zoho reporting tags, branches, projects or custom fields. We test the reports you need first, then choose the least complicated structure that still answers management questions.

Items and tax treatment

Products and services are cleaned for duplicates, income and expense accounts are checked, and UK VAT treatments are assigned. Stock migrations require a separate quantity and valuation reconciliation.

Banking, VAT & MTD

Connected bank feeds are re-established rather than transferred. We reconcile bank and VAT control accounts, confirm schemes and periods, then authorise Zoho Books for future MTD filings.

A controlled migration process

1
Review QBO

Inspect classes, locations, items, reconciliations, VAT, apps and closing date.

2
Build mapping

Design Zoho accounts, tags, branches, items, taxes and user permissions.

3
Clean and migrate

Import contacts and items before balances, open ledgers and history.

4
Validate controls

Tie out trial balance, AR, AP, banks, stock where relevant and VAT.

5
Handover

Train users on their actual invoicing, purchasing, banking and filing cycle.

Common questions

Often, but not automatically. We assess whether reporting tags, branches, projects or custom fields produce the required reports.

Yes where the business need is clear. They may become branches or another reporting dimension depending on the Zoho edition and design.

No. Feeds are connected afresh in Zoho Books and opening bank positions are reconciled to QBO.

Yes, subject to a separate stock scope covering item data, quantities, valuation and the cutover date.

Plan a migration with no accounting surprises

Start with your source system, VAT position, reporting needs and preferred cutover date.
